PANJIM: While addressing the BJP Goa Mahila Morcha State Executive on Sunday, BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vanathi Srinivasan said, BJP is the only national party that has vigorously worked towards women empowerment.
“Whenever our Prime Minister contemplates launching a new initiative, he thinks about women empowerment. Under his government, we have 11 women ministers in the Central cabinet. Our daughters are winning medals for this country,” she said.
She added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women are the biggest beneficiaries of many schemes launched by his government.
BJP State President Sadanand Tanavade spoke about the ongoing National Health Volunteers Campaign and said that women karyakarta who have worked during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be chosen at every booth level to reach every household in order to spread awareness about precautions to stay safe from the virus.
He also said that Goa aims to achieve 100 per cent vaccination coverage by October 31, 2021. Goa is the first State to complete 90 per cent of first vaccine doses.
BJP National General Secretary Sukhpreet Kaur applauded the women karyakartas for their round the clock efforts and dedication towards the party. She maintained that women play a vital role at their respective homes as well as for the party.
Kaur also appreciated State government’s efforts in controlling the COVID-19 situation within one week unlike struggles by Delhi and Maharashtra governments.
Kaur has further urged the women karyakartas in the State to make their presence on social media platforms in order to publicise various schemes by the Modi government.
Srinivasan added that the national party provides 33 per cent reservation to women and that irrespective of the gender, the party rewards honest and hard working karyakartas.
