PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa Unit has formed a new committee to ensure 100 per cent coverage for COVID-19 vaccine. The drive will begin from Tuesday, April 6, party’s 41st foundation day.
Addressing a press conference at party’s head office in Panjim on Monday, BJP State president Sadanand Shet Tanavade said their karyakartas across their respective booth levels will create awareness among the people to get the jab.
“We have constituted a committee to ensure 100 per cent COVID-19 vaccination coverage. Our party workers at every booth level will meet people (45 years and above) and convince them to take the vaccination. There should be no fear or apprehension about the vaccine,” he said as the short-term drive begins from Tuesday.
“We should be the first State having 100 per cent COVID-19 vaccination coverage.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be addressing party workers on the Foundation Day and the State unit has made all the arrangements pan-Goa to telecast his speech. Various programmes are also organized to mark this day.
