BJP ruined Goa, says Congress

PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar on Saturday stated that BJP has ruined the State as they don’t have capable leaders to run the government, and assured people of Goa to steer the system once Congress comes in power.

“Have patience for more eight months. We will come back to power and give justice to the people of Goa,” he said.

Chodankar hit out at BJP for their wrong deeds. He said that BJP has dearth of leaders with capability.

“BJP has failed to create leaders. They know to buy power overnight by managing MLAs, but their so-called Aatmanirbhar unit under RSS has no capability to create leaders of calibre,” he said.

Chodankar said that BJP did not respect the mandate given by people of Goa during 2017 Assembly elections and formed the government from backdoor. “BJP’s situation in the State is now such that even to win the local bodies election, they are offering ‘plots’ to candidates supported by Congress to withdraw.”

The High Court of Bombay at Goa order categorically mentions about the attempt of the government to overreach the orders of the High Court. The strictures against the Urban Development Minister by the Court reflect that he has no moral right to continue, he said.
