PONDA: Commenting on the ministerial ranking reshuffle by government, former PWD minister and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar said that the lowest ranking given to the ministers from the Minority community is not only the ministers’ insult but insult of entire minority and South Goa.
Taking some ministers’ names, who are given the lower ranks, Dhavalikar said, “If they have any self respect then they should resign before the next Assembly session.”
“After reading the ministerial ranking reshuffle on Friday morning, I realised that the BJP has shown its true colour. It can be concluded that the BJP’s teeth for show are different from teeth for bite,” he said.
Dhavalikar felt that it gave blow to the Minority MLAs and Ministers who had joined the BJP from Congress Party.
At the first, Dhavalikar cited the example of Water Resource Minister Filipe Neri Rodrigues. Filipe Neri had worked earlier as a senior minister for BJP and later for Congress. He is an engineer and four-term MLA. But despite this, he has been demoted to second last position. I feel sorry for that. This is not only his insult but also insult of entire Minority and South Goa people.
He further cited an example of Michael Lobo. He said, “Lobo played major role in forming the BJP government by putting split into Congress and MGP but BJP showed how this party is different by demoting him to last position.”
