PANJIM: The BJP on Friday slammed the Congress for spreading lies about North Goa MP Shripad Naik. They further stated that the AYUSH Minister was amongst the top best performers of the Lok Sabha.
Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters, party spokesperson Dattaprasad Naik, said that Congress was spreading lies not only in Goa but their national President Rahul Gandhi is doing the same throughout the country.
“The Congress spokesperson claimed that Shripadji had failed as an MP and has done nothing for his constituency. I wish to inform them that our North Goa MP was ranked 11th amongst all Lok Sabha MPs in terms of utilisation of MPLAD funds. I am sure that is some kind of achievement,” Dattaprasad said.
He stated that the AYUSH Minister had brought two big hospital projects in North and South and 1000-odd projects in his last four terms.
“People just don’t get elected for doing nothing,” he said.
Naik said that the Congress has no support from their own cadres and the same can be seen in their campaigns.
“The people from the South are campaigning for the Girish Chodankar in North Goa. They have no support from any constituency,” he charged.
