SATTARI: The BJP candidates won all three Zilla Parishad seats in Sattari Taluka. It is for the first time the party has won all three seats.
It looked like that the BJP will not win any seat due to various ongoing local issues such as the IIT Project in Shel Melauli Village, Land Ownership right and many more. But it proved all wrong. The all three BJP candidates won with good margin. The Querim 24 ZP Constituency, Devyani Gawas won by 4,036 votes; Honda 23 ZP Constituency, Sagun Wadkar won by 2,784 votes and Nagargao 25 ZP Constituency, Rajashree Kale won by 3,562 votes.
Shel Melauli villagers, who are opposing the proposed IIT Project, past three months have voted against the BJP candidate. In both booths, Congress candidate took lead.
“I have visited every village. I will urge the Chief Minister and the State BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanawade to ensure that the basic amenities and employment should be provided in each village. The government should be dissolved, if it fails to provide necessary employment to the locals,” said Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
