VASCO: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade on Monday advised a politician to first prepare for the municipal election and then plan for the Assembly polls considering the BJP Minister Godinho’s presence in the Dabolim constituency.
Speaking to the media, Tanavade said, “The Panchayat Minister and Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho has been working hard for the development of the State and is winning the hearts of the people.”
Later, indirectly taking a potshot at the politician, Tanavade said, “A yesteryear politician wanted to play a heroe’s role in the recent flag hoisting controversy but after realising that it had backfired, he changed his statement”.
“Such politicians instead of resorting to unusual means should actually prepare for municipality election,” Tanavade added.
Later, Godinho said, “We had a vision to develop only Dabolim constituency but now we have a new vision to bring development to all four constituencies in Mormugao taluka.”
“I have made a commitment to bring about overall development across Mormugao taluka and nobody can stop me,” asserted Godinho.
