BJP to bring in the cavalry for elections

PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Prabhu, Smriti Irani are among the star campaigners for the BJP’s LS and Assembly by-poll campaign

PANJIM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Ami Shah and Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Prabhu, Smriti Irani are the star campaigners for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa for the upcoming general elections for Lok Sabha and by-elections in three assembly constituencies to be held on April 23. 
It maybe recalled that Modi had visited the State on March 18 to attend the funeral of late Manohar Parrikar.  The PM will sound the poll budge with his rally on April 10 at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium in Bambolim.. This will  will mark BJP’s first mega poll rally post demise of Parrikar, who has been party’s crowd puller for over two and half decades. 
In the run up to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Modi had also addressed a massive public meeting in Goa. In June 2014, soon after being elected as Prime Minister, Modi had visited the coastal state. It was infact in Goa in 2013, that Modi’s name was announced by the party as Election Campaigner for 2014 Lok Sabha polls and since then has often said that Goa is lucky for him. 
As per the tentative schedule, Amit Shah will address two public meetings, one each in North and South. Also, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will address rallies in Shiroda and Mapusa assembly constituencies, where the by-elections are scheduled. 
Two rallies each of Union Minister for Shipping Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Commerce Suresh Prabhu and Union Minister for Textile Smriti Irani have also been scheduled. 
Their detailed schedule with the corresponding dates and venues for their poll rallies, will be released shortly.
