MARGAO: In a scathing attack, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao accused the ruling BJP government of turning the Goa into a “bhangaar adda” or a junkyard.
Reacting to the scrapyard fire, Alemao said that the incident is a result of the government’s complete negligence and lack of control over illegalities across the State. He also pointed out that the BJP government has not learnt any lessons from previous incident of fires at the Pilerne IDC and other areas. “The government is busy in event management with ‘Mission Total Commission’, while illegal fire-prone scrap yards and other units continue to operate unchecked in Goa,” Alemao said.
