BORIM: Accusing BJP of removing the Ram Mandir issue from its manifesto at the next Lok Sabha polls, Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) spokesman Ramesh Shinde has warned BJP national leaders attending their executive meet in the State that HJS would adopt the slogan ‘Jo nahi hamare Ram ka, woh nahi hamare kam ka’ (one who does not belong to Ram is of no use to us).
Speakers at the third day of the All India Hindu convention underway in Ramnathi-Ponda also passed a resolution to oppose parties that support anti-Hindu, anti-national and corrupt forces.
In his address at the convention, Shinde said: “The BJP is under delusion that they have already promoted Hindutva and now feel that if they do a bit of Muslim appeasement, then they can come to power. Now, it is up to all Hindu organisations to strongly dismantle this delusion.”
“The BJP has declared that the issue of Ram Mandir will not figure in the election manifesto. So we should give a new slogan ‘Jo nahi hamare Ram ka, woh nahi hamare kam ka’ (one who does not belong to Ram is of no use to us),” he added.
A debate on ‘Measures to be adopted during the 2014 General Elections’ saw the gathering pass a resolution to oppose political parties which support anti-Hindu, anti-national and corrupt forces and to support parties which accord a priority to the interests of Hindus.
Shinde further suggested that the HJS should have its own manifesto and send it to political parties and appealed to the gathering to vote only those parties who will include the HJS demands in their manifestoes.
