PONDA: Stating that there is ‘parivartan’ wave across the country, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said people want a change at the Centre and BJP will cross the magic figure of 272 MPs in the Parliament.
Parrikar was speaking at a campaign meeting of South Goa BJP Lok Sabha candidate Adv Narendra Sawaikar at Savitri Hall, Ponda.
“BJP will cross the magic figure of 272 and lotus will bloom, as Lok Sabha poll results will bring an end to corruption by the Congress party,” stated Parrikar.
“In Goa, BJP will win both the Lok Sabha seats by overwhelming and record votes,” said Parrikar.
“People will vote for BJP as an acknowledgement towards good work done by the government,” he added.
He said despite loss of crore of revenue due to mining ban in the State, the government managed to mobilise funds and launched Ladli Laxmi, Griha Adhar, subsidy on fuel prices, scheme to providing e-tablets to students, increment in Dayanand Samajik Suraksha Yojna, etc.
“Congress will not be seen in the race to form government at the Centre due to poor performance and corruption and the Congress will not get beyond 80 seats,” stated Parrikar.
Cooperation Minister Deepak Dhavalikar, Industries Minister Mahadev Naik, Ponda MLA Lavoo Mamledar, Ponda Municipal Council Chairperson Radhika Naik, Curti Sarpanch Deepa Naik, councillors and Curti panchas, BJP President Vinay Tendulkar, South Goa candidate Adv Narendra Savoikar and others were present on the occasion.
