BJP workers urged to work for party’s win in Assembly polls

PANJIM: All India Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Scheduled Tribes Morcha National President and MP Samir Oraon on Wednesday warned party workers against anti-incumbency and to work in a special way to ensure victory of the party candidates in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Oraon was speaking at a programme organised at the BJP Office, here, where the party declared the names of Prof Deepak Karmalkar and Adv Anand Gaonkar as president of North Goa and South Goa BJP ST Morcha respectively.

Oraon also urged the ST Morcha to hold a melawa of ST communities ahead of the ensuing elections. He alleged that the past government in the State used ST communities only to garner votes and failed to look after their welfare.

BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that the next Assembly elections will be held in February-March 2021 and appealed to the workers to work tirelessly to win the ensuing elections.  Ramesh Tawadkar and former MLA Ganesh Gaonakr, both ST leaders were also present.
