PERNEM: The Manohar International Airport also known as the Mopa Airport is set to open the much anticipated blue cab taxi counter, which will be operational from December 1.
Pernem MLA Parvin Arlekar informed that due to some glitches in the process, the approval for the counter was delayed. He however expressed satisfaction that the local taxi operators will now have an opportunity to officially conduct business at Mopa Airport.
Around 200 taxi operators have been granted permits to operate their taxis on Mopa Airport. He also urged the taxi operators to follow discipline while doing business at the airport. Meanwhile, additional 50 more permits will be given to locals in near future.
Meanwhile, Mopa will have around 4-5 different taxi counters, hence there will be competition.
