Margao PI Harish Madkaikar informed that the body of Vedeshri was found at Odxel beach, Dona Paula and the daughter Yashvi at Bambolim beach. It may be recalled that on July 15 evening, a passenger travelling in a KTC bus has called 100 number and informed the police that he had seen a woman along with a child jumping off the Zuari bridge.
On July 16 upon complaint from Vedeshri’s mother Laxmi Yeswhant Gauns, Valpoi, the Margao police had registered offence under section 498 IPC, of harassment and torture against the husband Yogesh Parab and the in-laws. Incidentally even as police registered offence based on complaint received from Gauns, the mother of the deceased Vedeshri, on July 16 the husband Yogesh a resident of Chandrawado-Fatorda had filed a missing report at Margao police stating that his wife and minor daughter had left the house on July 15 at 2 pm and failed to return back home.
