Body of man drowned off Mormugao beach found

The body of a 31-year-old man from Headland Sada, Mormugao, who was feared drowned off Japanese Garden beach, was retrieved at Headland Sada on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Mormugao Police, Khalil Shaikh’s body was found on the same shore.
Mormugao Police retrieved the body and registered a case of unnatural death. The body was sent for autopsy at Hospicio in Margao.
It may be recalled that Shaikh along with his friends and relatives had gone for fishing on a rocky area at the Japanese Garden beach and while Shaikh was pulling the stuck hook, he accidentally slipped in the sea and drowned.
