CANACONA: A body of a woman was found floating in the rivulet of Kepem at Rajbhag on Friday evening.
Cancona police informed that the case has been reported as an unnatural death, and the victim has been identified as a 53-year-old Deepa Dessai, a resident of Patnem in Canacona.
“No foul play is suspected; the woman was mentally challenged,” police said.
A case under Section 174 of CrPC has been lodged at Canacona police station in this regard.
After conducting panchanama, police sent the body for preservation at TB hospital, Margao.
