MARGAO: Ruckus erupted at Borda near ITI institute during Holi on Thursday evening, after a youth was assaulted by a group of youth.
A group of youth reportedly from Housing Board area, who were at a Holi celebration at the Green Amaze open air party venue, had an altercation with the victim Brian Fernandes and his group there.
The matter died down at the party but when the victim youth came to Borda and while inside a Hotel was reportedly assaulted by the accused group of youth.
The situation escalated quickly after the assaulted youth called upon his supporters and the same created a major ruckus at Borda. The owner of the hotel was hurt in the fight and window panes of the hotel were shattered.
The Fatorda Police reached at site and by 6.45 pm in the evening and brought the situation came back to normalcy. The Fatorda police have registered an offence against the group of youth and detained three men.
