PONDA: Jyothi Mukesh Naik was on Wednesday elected as Borim sarpanch and Deepika Devidas Naik as deputy sarpanch.
Six of the eleven members were present for the election.
Panchayat Secretary Viraj Naik assisted presiding officer Ravindra Naik. The post fell vacant following the ouster of sarpanch Bhavana Naik and deputy Sunil Sawkar in a no-confidence motion last month.
Jyothi said she would accord priority to solve the garbage problem in the village. Beside she also assured to solve the power cut and water shortage issues.
