Bosco honoured with President’s Police Medal

PANJIM: Senior Goan IPS Officer Bosco George, currently posted as Commissioner to Governor in Arunachal Pradesh, has been honoured with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on the eve of Republic Day. 

George is the only officer from Goa to have been conferred with the award along with 87 police officers in this category.

George has served in Goa Police in various capacities before being promoted to the IPS rank in 2019 and allotted Goa segment under AGMUT cadre. This was followed by his transfer to Arunachal Pradesh. 

He joined the service as Police Sub-Inspector and later inducted into Goa Police Service. He has supervised the death of British teenager Scarlet Keeling Eden besides cracking down on drug trades.
