PANJIM: In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, North Goa Collector Levinson Martins has been replaced by IAS officer R Menaka, while IAS officer Ajit Roy will hold charge as Collector South..
Martins, who had taken over charge from Neela Mohanan in July 2018, will continue as Director Science and Technology and Managing Director Solid Waste Management Corporation (SWMC).
Menaka was Director of Urban Development. Dr Tariq Thomas, South Goa Collector, has transferred as Director Urban Development.
Under Secretary (Personnel II) Harish Adconkar in an order issued has said that Governor of Goa has ordered posting of the officers with immediate effect till the process of the Lok Sabha elections is complete.
Roy, who will hold charge as Collector South, was Commissioner of Corporation of City of Panaji. The transfer comes a day before the Corporation is set to present its annual budget on Thursday. IAS officer Shashank Mani Tripathi will hold charge as Commissioner CCP.
The government has also ordered election postings of junior scale officers and mamlatdar, joint mamlatdar and assistant director of civil supplies during the polls.
