Both district hospitals to be digitised

Under the new mission, every citizen will now get a digital health ID i.e ABHA and their health record will be digitally protected.

PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that the Health Management Information System (HMIS) will be implemented at the North Goa District Hospital and South Goa District Hospital under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) under the Directorate of Health Services. 

Health Management Information System (HMIS) aims to provide a robust cloud-based system providing easy and quick access to patients and hospital records.

Rane informed that the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) Health ID is a nationwide initiative under the Government of India’s ABDM, which aims to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country. It will bridge the existing gap amongst different stakeholders of the healthcare ecosystem through digital highways, he added.
