CURCHOREM: Thirteen-year-old Yash Prahar Sanvordekar from Sanvordem, a student of New Educational Institute of Curchorem, is being widely appreciated by the locals for rescuing a 22-year-old youth from drowning.
It is learnt that Sanvordekar along with his family and friends had gone to Pali in Bicholim taluka to spend a day. “When we were spending time in the water Sanvordekar along with his friend went other side of the river by a canoe and while coming they decided to swim and come. While swimming Sanvordekar managed to reach but his friend half way started drowning and shouted for help. Without wasting time Sanvordekar went and rescued the 22-year-old boy and brought back safely ashore,” Sanvordekar’s father informed.
