PANJIM: The Legal Metrology Department of the State government has seized branded rice worth Rs 50 lakh in raids at different locations in the State.
A total of 3,096 packages of rice bags of 25 kg were seized.
This action was taken against various private brands of rice for irregularities in packaged date and expiry date and weight.
