MAPUSA: A seven-year-old minor girl was kidnapped from Canca, a village close to Mapusa, on Sunday afternoon by two unknown persons.
Mapusa PI Tushar Lotlikar said that he received a complaint from the mother of the victim that her daughter, who was playing at Canca Bandh, was pulled into a Maruti Omni van by two unknown persons who came in that vehicle. They then drove towards Mapusa and when they reached Navtara hotel, the girl bit one of the kidnappers due to which they left her at that place.
Later, the girl went home and narrated the incident to her parents, following which her mother filed a complaint at the Mapusa police station. Mapusa police have registered a kidnapping case under Section 363 of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children Act.
