In a significant operation on 5th December 2023, the Crime Branch successfully apprehended a 52-year-old British national, John Parkinson, in Vagator, Goa. The arrest followed a meticulously executed narcotics raid conducted by PI Narayan A. Chimulkar and his team on 4th December 2023.
The operation took place near the back gate of the Vagator football ground, close to Levels Club in Ozran, Vagator. Parkinson, residing near Our Lady of Miracles Church Baddem, Anjuna, was caught red-handed with a substantial quantity of narcotics.
The seized items included 190 LSD perforated papers weighing 1.914 grams and 4.353 grams of LSD liquid, with an estimated international market value of approximately Rs. 15,00,000. Alongside the narcotics, authorities also confiscated a motorcycle and two mobile phones from the accused. Parkinson now faces charges under Section 22(c) of the NDS Act 1985. The police are further investigating the case.
