Briton jumps off Princess, injured

CALANGUTE, DEC 24 A jump off the grounded 'River Princess' proved costly for a Briton when he was injured in the process. According to Drishti reports, a foreigner approached the Sinquerim Lifeguard Tower at about 6.45 pm stating that her husband, Warren Hordy, had gone missing for about 10 minutes.

A jump off the grounded ‘River Princess’ proved costly for a Briton when he was injured in the process.
According to Drishti reports, a foreigner approached the Sinquerim Lifeguard Tower at about 6.45 pm stating that her husband, Warren Hordy, had gone missing for about 10 minutes.
It was suspected that he had gone on board the ‘River Princess’ and she pleaded with the Life guards to conduct a search.
Lifeguards, Amir Gaonkar and Sarvesh Paryekar, immediately called for a jeep and using the BSP search light, carried out the search around the wrecked ship.  
A foreign national was seen floating in the water and the lifeguards swam across to him with their rescue tube towards and brought him safely ashore. 
He was found conscious, but lifeguards found minor abrasions over his forehead, arms and legs.
While checking him for other injuries, the foreigner confirmed that he had jumped off the ‘River Princess’, due to which he had suffered bruises.
The lifeguards released the Briton after providing him with basic first aid and safety advice not to go on board the ‘River Princess’.
