In a harrowing incident that unfolded in the village of Loutulim on the night of October 25, 2023, between 9:20 pm and 12:15 am, a group of six to eight individuals carried out an attempt to murder. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Royson Fernandes, who resides in Loutulim Orgao, was subjected to a vicious assault near the Health Centre Junction, Loutulim Vanxem.
During this brutal attack, the assailants used rods and other heavy objects to inflict severe injuries upon Fernandes, resulting in deep lacerations and head injuries. The victim was promptly transferred to the hospital via ambulance service 108, where his statement was recorded by the police. Notably, he was able to identify two of the perpetrators, Anson and Jussan.
The mother of the young victim, deeply distressed by the incident, has appealed for swift action by the police to ensure justice is served in this case. The medical report on Royson Fernandes’ condition reveals the extent of the physical harm he endured during this horrifying attack.
The incident is currently under the supervision of Police Inspector of Maina Curtorim, and an investigation is underway to bring the culprits to justice.
