BSNL Employees Stage Passionate Demonstration in Goa, Crticise Government Neglect of 4G and 5G Services

During a lunch-hour demonstration at the BSNL main office in Panjim, employees passionately voiced their grievances against the government’s perceived negligence in providing 4G and 5G services in the state. Their demonstration underscored their commitment to delivering superior network services while expressing frustration over the absence of government support. The collective outcry shed light on the government’s failure to facilitate essential technological advancements, specifically the implementation of 4G and 5G services for the population.

Amidst the fervent protest, employees highlighted their dedication to providing reliable network services and conveyed disappointment regarding the lack of governmental assistance. Their unified plea underscored the critical need for technological upgrades that would enable 4G and 5G services, essential for meeting the public’s connectivity demands. ”BSNL is still fighting for 4G while other operators have gone on to 5G. We still use 3.5G. If we get 4G or 5G we will reach new heights. BSNL employees just need the facilities to get there,” said BSNL Junior Engineer Amita Naik.

Accusing the government of displaying favouritism toward private companies, the employees alleged that such bias has obstructed BSNL’s progress in technological advancements. They argued that this preference toward private entities has hindered BSNL’s ability to upgrade and provide cutting-edge services to the public, exacerbating the technological disparity between BSNL and private telecommunication firms. “The private companies will be left behind if BSNL is given proper support, maybe that’s why we don’t get the support we deserve,” added Naik.
