PONDA: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to ‘Go Green’ and stop issuance of paper printed bills from April.
This was informed to the customers by the BSNL officials informed during a customer outreach programme held at Ponda. BSNL’s Deputy General Manager for South Goa, Sinkandar Akibhat said that under the ‘Go Green’ initiative, customers would receive bill images in their email id, registered with BSNL.
“Customers will get SMS on their registered mobile numbers. Link is given in SMS for viewing and downloading the bill image with the payment option through BSNL portal also. Postal Bank Authorities have been instructed to accept the payment across their counters on showing of SMS/ bill image from the customers.”
During the programme, customers put forth their grievances about problems faced by them in getting regular and uninterrupted landline, mobile, broadband and internet connectivity. The customers provided various suggestions for the improvement of BSNL services including special service during monsoon.
Akibhat and other officials addressed the grievances and informed that BSNL has planned for upgradation and improvement of services soon and assured to solve all their problems.
