BSNL users in Goa frustrated over ongoing service issues

MARGAO: Residents in Goa who rely on BSNL for their landline connections and internet services have expressed growing frustration with the deteriorating quality of service and lengthy resolution times for their reported issues.

Complainants have highlighted problems such as malfunctioning landline connections and the lack of internet supply, citing explanations from BSNL representatives attributing these issues to a software change within the company. They added that BSNL staff were apologetic and pledged to resolve the problems in the coming days.

The lack of internet service, particularly Wi-Fi, has caused significant inconvenience to affected residents.

These grievances were raised at a recent BSNL Telephone Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting held in Margao, where connectivity issues were the predominant concern. Committee members were informed that cable disruptions caused by road construction were the root cause of these problems. BSNL proposed a shift to a new fibre cable system as the solution.

Another TAC meeting is tentatively scheduled for either December-end or January next year  to monitor compliance with this resolution and address any outstanding issues.
