PANJIM: Even as the Goa Assembly Speaker’s office has received over 700 questions for the ensuing budget session, the legislature department is making every effort to better its e-budget initiative launched last year. The budget session will be on from March 23 to 27.
Speaking at an event, Speaker Rajendra Arlekar said, “This year will be a consolidation from last year. We will make it better than last time. Eighty percent of the questions will be online,” Arlekar said, confirming there were 250 starred questions.
While preference will be for online access of documents, hard copy option will also be available. In addition to the questions, three bills pertaining to property and land are lined up for the budget session. He confirmed that there would not be any amendments to any laws tabled during the five day session.
It was during last year’s July 22 session that the e-transaction of business was initiated.
