PANJIM: Expressing its disappointment over the State Budget 2015-16, the Opposition Congress on Saturday termed it as non progressive, inflationary and anti-people. The Opposition also claimed that the BJP government’s successive budgets have failed to deliver on crucial people centric aspects.
Addressing media Saturday morning, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) spokesperson Yatish Naik said that Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar’s budget was directionless and not a forward looking one. “Overall the budget is non progressive and one which will encourage inflation,” he said.
Naik said that though the budget has made certain declarations, it has neither suggested the strategies nor has it declared the policy to achieve growth.
“The budget is a directionless exercise, showing no continuity in the declared policies with those of the last budget presented by then Chief
Minister Manohar Parrikar,”
he added.
