PANJIM: Faiyaz Shaikh, the bull-attack victim, continues to battle for life at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim on Thursday.
GMC Public Relation Officer (PRO) said Faiyaz sustained rib fractures and is to be operated upon. “Faiyaz is on a ventilator in the ICU,” the PRO said. Faiyaz Shaikh was grievously injured while his wife Rizwana Shaikh sustained minor injuries after a bull gored them at Cardozwaddo in Taleigao on October 24.
The bull then went berserk and damaged vehicles in the area.The Panjim police registered a case under section 289, 337, 338 and 427 of IPC against Newton Azavedo for criminal negligence and failing to tether ferocious bull.
Azavedo was arrested and later released on bail, police said adding that probe is on.
