ARAMBOL: A bull that had fallen into 10-feet abandoned well at Madhlawada in Arambol was rescued on Sunday by fire tender officials and animal rescue worker Samir Dicholkar.
A local youth, Sunil Gaude had informed the fire station four days back and officials had taken stock of the situation on Friday after which they asked to call upon an animal rescue worker from the area. During the 6-day delay, Gaude and Cosmo Rodrigues fed the bull.
Fire tender’s deputy officer Sunil Desai lashed out at Dicholkar during the operation for no reason whatsoever. Infact, Dicholkar entered the well to skilfully tie the agitated bull with a rope. Fire officials had not entered the well due to the bull’s unpredictable behaviour and were busy shooting the whole incident on their phones which was criticised by the locals.
The team of officials included deputy officer Desai, driver Mathias Mendosa, Sahadev Parab, municipality workers Jayesh Pednekar, Laxman Tulaskar, Sudesh Venji and Valeno Fernandes.
