POND: The locals of Farmagudi are shocked and surprised by an unprecedented bull killing attempt, close to the residential area. It’s even more surprising to them to find the bull surviving despite several gun shots at it by unidentified miscreant.
The bull was found injured condition for past three days, behind the tank at Farmagudi, and was rescued with help of NGO and sent to Dhyan Foundation at Zambavali for treatment. Animal lovers in Farmagudi, Ponda who rescued the bull condemned incidents and demanded thorough police investigation. Sanket Narverkar working for rescue of animals said government should stop rising incidents of cruelty to animals.
Animal lovers also filed police complaint against unknown at Ponda Police Station. The NGO members said since election code of conduct most of fire arms are deposited at police station and it is difficult to know whether bullet was shot with licensed or without licensed fire arm.
