According to reports, the incident took place at around 2.10 pm as students of Jnyan Vikas School in Porvorim were proceeding home after school in the bus (GA-03-C-8038).
The driver, Rohan Bhanudas Narvekar, was reportedly speeding, when he lost control of the bus and the vehicle hit a roadside divider at Guirim.
Onlookers rescued the students from the bus while the bus driver who sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital and discharged after medical aid.
