PONDA: Opposing the parking of private vehicles at Dabhal bus stand, the bus operators have accused these vehicle owners of encroaching upon the bus parking bay which has caused them immense hardship in finding a space to park their buses.
They also feared that the prevailing situation at the Dabhal bus stand could result in accidents.
Due to the parking of private four-wheelers and two-wheelers at the bus stand, passenger buses arriving at the bus stand faced a lot of inconvenience. The passengers, bus owners and drivers have demanded that the Transport Department should initiate action and remove these private vehicles immediately.
According to passengers and citizens, since the bus stop at Dabhal is the last bus stop, they depart on the next journey. Most space at the bus stand is occupied by these private vehicles. To make matters worse, the construction material dumped at site has made it difficult for bus drivers to move their vehicles.
