MARGAO: People from all walks of life bid a tearful adieu to the two marine engineers killed in Tuesday’s bus tragedy.
The mortal remains of 26-year-old Bento D’Costa and 29-year old Reegan Fernandes were laid to rest at their native villages of Navelim and Colva respectively on Wednesday evening.
Relatives, villagers and friends bid adieus to the two youngsters as their mortal remains were brought home late last night by their close family members.
Both Bento and Reegan were traveling in the ill-fated Mahakalli bus which plunged in the river at Khed, killing 37 passengers. They were heading to Mumbai to answer their exam and had promised to return home for Easter celebrations.
