Bus with 34 onboard catches fire, no injuries

PANJIM: A Kadamba bus with 34 passengers suddenly caught fire at Bambolim, on Sunday morning. The bus was ferrying the passengers from Panjim to Margao.

PANJIM: A Kadamba bus with 34 passengers suddenly caught fire at Bambolim, on Sunday morning. The bus was ferrying the passengers from Panjim to Margao.
After noticing flumes emitting from the dashboard, the bus driver alerted all the passengers and vacated the bus and within no time the bus caught fire in which the entire bus was damaged. Incident has occurred at 11.30 am. According to KTC officials none of the passengers was injured in the fire accident. 
KTC General Manager S L Ghate said that they could not establish the reason for the fire, thereforeasked the manufacturer to conduct a thorough inspection. He said that fire extinguishers fitted in all the new buses to avoid such incidents. Fire extinguisher was fitted in the ill-fated bus too, but due to sudden fire the driver got confused, Ghate informed.
