PANJIM: A young businessman has gone missing after he returned from an off-shore casino late night on March 13.
Maharashtra native Shoaib Bhagwan was in Goa to attend a three-day international tractor company conclave, organised this week in Panjim, along with 780-odd other entrepreneurs from across the country.
He came to Goa on March 12.
According to Panjim police where one of the organisers has lodged a missing person’s complaint. Bhagwan was last seen with his fellow business friend in a city-based hotel. The attendees were accommodated in four hotels across the city.
“After the second day’s session on March 12, some of them visited Calangute beach. They then went to an offshore casino and returned to their respective hotels in the wee hours…” said an officer. Bhagwan, returned with his friend to the hotel but the CCTV footage shows he comes out of his room at around 10:30pm, alone.
“Since then he has been missing,” the officer stated.
Fellow colleagues are unaware of his whereabouts since he skipped the concluding day of the conclave. The police have already sourced the CCTV grab of the hotels as a part of their investigation. PSI Anant Gonkar is investigating the case.
