PANJIM: The State cabinet on Wednesday granted its nod for the creation of 14 posts, including three posts of additional collectors each, at the newly notified sub-district administrative offices at Mapusa and Ponda.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said the 14 posts, seven each, have been created for the two sub-district administrative offices. Along with additional collector, posts sanctioned are of upper divisional clerk, lower divisional clerk, head clerk, etc.
In another decision, the cabinet has approved the appointment of a Hindi translator at Raj Bhavan.
The cabinet has also resolved to hand over the land, where the old Ponda district hospital was located, to Urban Development. The district hospital has been shifted and the land, where old hospital was build, initially belonged to Urban Development, Parsekar said.
