Of the 35 laws on the agenda, 18 laws pertaining to the different departments will be decriminalised CM Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday. The proposal for the further amendment to the Goa excise duty act 1964, The amendment to the Goa corporative society act 2001, amendment in the regulation of the Goa land Development of the building construction act 2008, are a few of the laws that are decriminalised. The draft on the industrial policy along with the Goa State Journalists protection act will be implemented said the CM.
Pertaining to the Siddhi Naik case, Sawant stated that it is not appropriate to furnish copies of papers relevant to the ongoing investigation as it may affect the integrity of the investigation & provision of law.
