Cabinet nod for land transfer to IT Dept

PANJIM: The State Cabinet on Thursday accorded its approval for transfer of land admeasuring 12,455 sq mtrs in Porvorim to Information Technology Department for creating start-up related ecosystem in the State.

PANJIM: The State Cabinet on Thursday accorded its approval for transfer of land admeasuring 12,455 sq mtrs in Porvorim to Information Technology Department for creating start-up related ecosystem in the State. 
The Cabinet resolved to approve transfer of land admeasuring 4073 sq mtrs, currently in possession of Directorate of Skill Development and another land of 8382 sq mtrs situated in Porvorim to IT department for creating start-up related ecosystem in Goa. 
State government had in September released the start-up policy with a focus on setting up 100 start-ups in next five years. 
In yet another decision, Cabinet approved to transfer around 1,660 sq mtrs of land to police department for setting up new police station at Colva. 
The council also accorded post-facto approval to the contractual appointment of five lecturers in Goa Dental College and Hospital for a period of one year. The lecturers are appointed in department of Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Periodontics.
