Alemao had submitted before the court that Silva ceased to be an Indian citizen on acquisition of Portuguese nationality with effect from July 21, 2010. In 2012, she had even sought Caitu’s disqualification on the same argument.
Caitu case: Valanka appears in HC
PANJIM: Former Congress Minister Churchill Alemao’s daughter Valanka appeared before the Goa bench of Bombay High Court on Friday in connection with a petition she filed against Benaulim MLA Caetano Silva on dual citizenship issue. Valanka, being one of the witnesses in the case appeared, before the bench that is conducting final hearing in the matter.
