PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar on Monday shot back by saying that the distribution of cakes to defectors was conceptualised by the BJP’s ‘Super CM’ and executed by one of its outfits (Aam Aadmi Party).
Chodankar termed the said activity by AAP volunteers as political gimmick to create confusion in the minds of the people with a sole aim to split Congress votes. He also pointed that cakes were not given to defectors from other political parties like MGP, whose two MLAs had joined BJP in March 2019.
“BJP and its outfit conveniently forgot that day. They have also forgotten conveniently to visit Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Babu Kavalekar and other defectors,” he said.
Chodankar said that the people of Goa have now realised the BJP’s game plan and will not fall prey to the tricks of ‘B’ team of the BJP.
