In a swift operation, Calangute Police successfully apprehended an accused individual, Omprakash, who had allegedly fled from Kerala and sought refuge in a resort in Calangute. The accused, wanted in connection with a serious crime of attempted murder in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, was arrested while driving a rented car in and around the Calangute area.
Acting on credible information, Calangute Police was alerted to the presence of the accused in their jurisdiction. Omprakash had reportedly absconded from Kerala after committing the aforementioned crime, and the Kerala Police had tracked him down to Goa.
The collaborative efforts of Calangute Police led to the arrest of Omprakash, who had been residing in a resort in Calangute since his arrival in Goa on November 21. The accused was taken into custody without any untoward incident.
