Calangute police rescue Ugandan woman

CALANGUTE:  In the second case in as many months, the Calangute police have rescued an Ugandan woman from a prostitution racket. The woman was soliciting the public for the purpose of prostitution at an open place at Calangute on Thursday afternoon.  Police booked the 39-year-old foreigner under section 8 of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act in a continuing drive against prostitution in the jurisdiction of Calangute. The accused is presently in police custody and further investigation is in progress. Earlier, the police had booked a 21-year-old lady from Uganda for     similar reasons.
