The Calangute Police on Tuesday shut down a salon for illegally constructing rooms to be used as a massage parlour. The police received a complaint from shop owner Sally Simoes who leased the property to Parminder Singh. Singh was allegedly permitted to only run a salon but had converted the premises to run an illegal spa/ massage parlour without obtaining permission from the panchayat or the owners.
The police checked the said premises and found six small rooms that had been constructed with small beds and a bathroom. The tenant of the Salon is directed to close down the salon and a report is sent to SDPO Porvorim and SDM Bardez for sealing and necessary action.
