The gram sabha also dwelt at length on the killer road and the requirement of speed breakers along the road.
At the meeting chaired by Deputy Sarpanch Conceissao Dias, members sought to know why the alleged illegal construction standing on the village road has not been razed. They pointed that though the Panchayat has been saying that it had been insisting that the matter is with the district collector, members demanded to know why the Collector’s office has been dilly dallying on the issue.
Members told the Panchayat to take up the matter with the District Collector on priority.
Member Romao Jesus said the members asked the Panchayat to erect speed breakers wherever necessary on the killer road.
