Villagers of Benaulim are surprised that the Cana Benaulim
Panchayat is holding recruitment of clerical staff on the second last day of
their tenure. A few days back they had sacked two of their staff members. Former
deputy sarpanch Nilesh Prabhudesai said he quit since the panchayat body had
done a lot of illegalities due to which they switched off the CCTVs and also sacked
the clerical staff since they were not cooperating with them.
